Mezcal cupreata is a variety of mezcal produced from a specific agave, agave cupreata, also known as gordito, papalote or papalotl (which in Nahuatl means “butterfly”).
The flavor of cupreata mezcal is defined primarily on the combination of its production process, both the methods and quality of the agave experience-practices of the master mezcalero, which are fundamental to creating the unique flavor profile of cupreata mezcal.
But in general the flavor that can be found in a cupreata mezcal is smooth, unctuous (finely oily), interesting bitter cocoa flavors. Or intense, bright, herbal flavors of bell pepper and spice.
